Welcome to Arrowhead Valley Chapter, NSDAR
Arrowhead Valley Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on December 7, 2002, with 75 members from the merged Arrowhead and San Bernardino Chapters, NSDAR. Our membership has now grown to be among the larger chapters in California. Daughters from throughout the Inland Empire cities, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and other counties in California, as well as out of state, comprise our membership.
We begin our season with an annual Social in September and meet monthly during the week from October through May. June, July and August we participate in local activities. Our meetings are engaging with interesting programs and speakers.
We are active in our communities participating in events supporting our national goals of historic preservation, education, and patriotism: annual Veterans Day Parade, women in transition, the Loma Linda Veterans Administration Hospital, the USO and active-duty overseas, DAR markings, local youth organizations and JROTC, Library book donations for young reader's rooms, support of DAR schools, Memorial Day Ceremony and Riverside National Cemetery wreath placements, conservation service, among others. We are involved with other DAR chapters and with our CSSDAR State organization.
Is there a DAR Patriot in your family tree? NSDAR is one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country. Any woman 18 years or older regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
We invite you to attend a chapter meeting to see how you can join us and make a difference in our communities!
